Tish means “table” in Yiddish. It’s where community gathers – a place to eat, sing, share ideas, and connect.
It feels right for what we’re building: a homey Jewish community that gathers around tables (literal and metaphorical) throughout Atlanta.
We chose Yiddish because it speaks to the Jewish spirit of blending and becoming, a language born from many tongues, yet whole on its own. Whether you say tish, meza, or shulḥan, we’re all gathering at the same table: one that welcomes the evolving Jewish story that we’re building together.
