Rooted 2026 has wrapped up
Hope you can join us in 2027.
Rooted
A weekend in the North Georgia mountains to slow down, reconnect, and ground ourselves in Shabbat, community, and the natural world.
2026 retreat details below · Registration is closed
The table, moved outdoors.
Rooted is the first-ever Tish retreat. Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon, we set down the pace of the week and spend Shabbat together in the mountains.
It's built for families with kids, couples, and anyone looking for a real Shabbat in nature. Come for the singing, the shared meals, the quiet by the creek, and the people you'll be glad to spend three days with.
Where it is
Thirty acres in the North Georgia mountains
A private property about two hours north of Atlanta, with a creek running through it, an open meadow, a stone fire circle, cabins, and woods on every side. Room for the whole community without anyone being on top of anyone else.
Registered families get exact directions and a packing list a week out.
The Weekend at a Glance
A rhythm of gathering, rest, and celebration — from Friday check-in through Sunday's closing.
Schedule is still coming together and may shift a little before the weekend.

Pick the Rate That's Right for You
We believe cost shouldn't determine who gets to be part of Tish. Please choose the tier that honestly reflects your current financial reality. All tiers are full and equal participants of the retreat.
For those who need a little help. We want you here.
The true cost of the retreat — the default for most of us.
A bit more from those who can, so others don't have to choose.

Frequently Asked Questions
Expand allVery. We’ll have children’s programming, an indoor game room, and plenty of snacks. The farm is mainly meadow, with a rocky creek surrounding the roughly 30-acre property. The creek reaches about four feet at its highest. We think it’s well suited to explorers ages 6 and up, but every child and parent has their own comfort level with risk, so each family should use its own judgment.
Yes, during some dedicated parts of the retreat. We’ll have children’s-programming hours plus additional childcare support. This is not drop-off childcare—you can’t leave your child and come back later. More details are coming.
Friday-night pass ($125): arrive anytime Friday and leave before dinner Saturday. Saturday-night pass ($125): arrive anytime Saturday and leave anytime Sunday.
First, ask in the Tish WhatsApp group if someone has the tent, sleeping bag, or other gear you’re hoping to borrow. If that doesn’t work—or if you’re feeling shy about asking there—email kyrrcares@pm.me for help getting what you need.
Every attendee will receive a printed schedule and map. Aside from kids programming, there will be few parallel events. You don’t need to attend everything—there will be ample room for solo time, a family board game, or making something with a new friend.
We’ve set aside last-minute indoor sleeping space with air mattresses and cots on the floor. It’s available if the weather turns, a tent fails, someone sleeps poorly, or for any other reason someone needs to move inside.
Sporadically, yes, we have a plan to capture some magical moments. We will have neon opt-out bracelets available for anyone who does not want to be photographed. If you want to take pictures, please take care to avoid photographing anyone wearing a neon bracelet.
Registration closes September 1, 2026. Because catering and camping logistics depend on a headcount, the sooner you sign up the better.
Still have a question? Come ask it live.
We're hosting two open Q&A town halls before the retreat. Same link both times — drop into whichever suits you.
